Description
This is the fourth book in a series of historical fiction novels inspired by the mass migration of thousands of desperate pilgrims from the Palatine region of Germany to the English Colony of New York during the first decades of the 18th Century. The first book, “Winter’s Wrath,” told the tale of Anna Seiler’s fictional family’s perils as they make their way from their German homeland to the safety of Amsterdam. The second book, “Charity’s Chains,” followed Anna’s family from a wharf in The Netherlands to a bitter life in London and concluded as they boarded 10 ships to sail to their new lives in New York. The third book, “Fame’s Fate,” depicted their harrowing voyage across the North Atlantic Ocean from London Bridge to New York Harbor. In this book, Anna’s family will hold to the means, the strength, and the faith to deal with the challenges of a murder mystery, the New World’s wilderness, and their next English masters.
